Friday Snow Day Work

Friday, February 14th
Happy Valentine's Day!!

1. Please complete the morning work for Friday.

2. Math-
  • Use the link below to check your answers from yesterday, and to complete the assignment for today.

3. Social Studies-
  • Practice working with cardinal and intermediate directions by completing the second side of the worksheet I handed out on Wednesday. You should be able to find this worksheet tucked inside your textbook.
  • Please set up your vocabulary cards for the bold and highlighted words in Lesson 2 of the textbook. This means you should split each of the cards up into the 4 different sections, and put the new vocabulary words on each card. You can get a head start by copying the definitions of each of these words, but you do not need to give an example or draw a picture until we work with them together in class.

4. Phonics-
  • Complete pages 115 and 116.
  • On these pages you will learn about the suffixes -ion, -ment, -en, -able, and -ible.
  • Make sure you read the rules on each page before you begin working.

5. Additional Assignments-
  • Work on Mr. Popper's Penguins Project
  • Read for at least 20 minutes
  • Practice multiplication flashcards
  • Create Valentines for loved ones. Bonus- try creating a heart shaped card with a vertical line of symmetry. Can you decorate the card so that both sides match?
